Join us on the banks of the Big Wood River! During this hands-on event, you’ll improve your hatch matching knowledge by learning from professional entomologists at The Salmonfly Project. $100 per person.

About the event

Join us on the banks of the Big Wood River! During this hands-on event, you’ll improve your hatch matching knowledge by learning from professional entomologists at The Salmonfly Project.

  • You’ll learn about the biology of aquatic insects found on the Big Wood River.

  • You’ll learn how to collect and identify nymphs and adult aquatic insects.

  • You’ll learn how to identify common aquatic insects, including the nymphs and adults of your favorite hatches.

All participants will receive a field guide of major hatches of the western US. Free refreshments will also be provided. All proceeds will go directly to support The Salmonfly Project and Project Big Wood to support the conservation of the Wood River Basin.
