Kristine Hilt
Kristine Hilt joins the team with over a decade of experience as Blaine County, Idaho's Certified Floodplain Manager. She served as the project manager for the Big Wood River Atlas (Cardno 2020), an extensive watershed study, and continues to provide consultation on its applicability, impact, and future versions. Her peers from the Northwest Association of Floodplain Managers (NORFMA) honored her as the Floodplain Manager of the Year. This award recognized her significant contribution to advanced floodplain management and recovery efforts following the record-breaking 2017 Big Wood River flood event.
Her enduring connection to the Big Wood River began during her childhood, where she spent summers swimming and exploring the river near her home in Bellevue. She continues to foster a shared appreciation, respect, and commitment to preserving the river alongside community members and stakeholders.
